#Techable
Techable was created to support people with locomotor disabilities in building or developing their digital literacy. Organized by Betfair Romania Development, with the support of Digital Stack and Caiac Smile, this free program provides the essential skills to use digital technologies both personally and professionally.
Through a series of online courses, you'll learn from the basics of digitization to more advanced software development, all so that you can get to know the IT field better, have the framework to develop new skills and discover more options in what you do now or, why not, maybe even a new career.

Who can participate?
The program is intended for adults (18 years +) with severe locomotor disabilities, as they represent one of the most vulnerable groups in terms of integration into the labor market, due to the lack of infrastructure adapted to their specific needs. If you have full upper extremity functionality, basic PC operating skills and speak English at a conversational level, this program may be for you. All you need is a stable INTERNET connection, as each participant accepted into the program will receive an HP Elitebook 840 G5 laptop.
How can you become
Techable?
At the start, you'll learn basic digital skills that can help you in any career, but together we also explore cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence. For the more ambitious, we've also prepared a level where you can learn programming skills. The program is structured in three stages, exclusively online, so you can follow it from anywhere in the country. In order for you to be able to fulfill your daily activities already in progress, classes take place after 18:00 on weekdays and on Saturdays, during the first part of the day. Plus, for those who complete all stages, there's the opportunity to prepare for formal certification as a Computer Systems Engineer*. And, why not, to apply for a place in the Betfair Romania Development team.

The structure of courses
Stage 1
Discover the digital world with Google! (10 hours) and Generative AI (5 hours): learn online productivity and communication skills, adapted to today's most widely used technologies.
Stage 2
Introduction to Programming (20 hours): develop minimal programming and application testing skills.
Stage 3
Web Front-End Development Course (80 hours): this is a training course to acquire the minimum knowledge specific to software application development.
Note: At the end of each stage a limited number of participants are selected for the next stage. Selection is based on a test to verify the level of knowledge acquired.
